Here's a trick I didn't perfect until the end of the semester: UV Mapping. I love character sculpts, but texturing them used to be a massive pain for me. I used to just slap on a normal or automatic map and hope for the best. A friend of mine finally sat down with me and walked me through how to properly UV map and I'm loving the results so far. I'm looking forward to doing more with my characters! I made these maps using paint tool said, drawing over the automatic maps I had already set up.
