I am an ambitious and hard working 2D/3D Generalist with a love of creating worlds and characters I get to share with others! Specializing in character and environment art, I have worked on multiple projects that have allowed me to explore and develop my passions, and I am looking forward to the amazing artistic journey I am setting out on.
I interpret 2D concept art into high quality game-ready 3D assets and environments. Using my expert-level capabilities in Maya and Photoshop, I create both organic and hard surface models that I then map and texture with hand drawn textures that match our awesome art style
I draw up lesson plans that focus on teaching children between the ages of 8 and 12 the world of 3D art. Using Maya, zBrush, and Arnold, I organize video lessons to meet with students and walk them through the beginnings of 3D software. Following my lesson plans, students learn how to model, map, texture, render, and even animate in Maya.
I was tasked with helping children between the ages of seven and fifteen understand the exciting world of 3D modeling and animation in Maya! I also began each session helping the teams with creative development and solidifying their story ideas. In TIC, classes covered UV mapping, texturing, rigging, and animation, and ended with showcases of the students' work. My time in TIC also required me to have very strong communication, conflict management, patience, and trust in my coworkers while helping our students
On the Hospital Safety Project, my team worked closely with hospital staff to design charming, appealing characters who would star in a two minute short about the hospital statistics. I not only led the character designs and 2D development, but I modeled and rigged the secondary lead character, as well as several assets in the short, and animated multiple scenes.
In my time at Universal, I produced 2D concepts for figure animation in our park and office. My team worked heavily in blue sky thinking for upcoming rides, and this no limits sort of approach allowed me to dive head first into research for developing my ideas and supporting my team. I also modeled several 3D props and sets for previsualizations of ride experiences. When not modeling or researching, I edited figure animations for in-production rides and characters
